An EDC pen is a durable writing instrument designed to be carried and used every day. Unlike disposable pens, machined EDC pens are made from solid materials and crafted to provide a comfortable grip, reliable performance, and long-term durability.

Honey Badger Arsenal creates precision-machined pens for everyday writing, collecting, gift-giving, and to complement your everyday gear.

A bolt-action EDC pen uses a sliding bolt mechanism to extend and retract the ink refill. As you move the bolt through its travel, the writing tip is securely locked in place.

Material availability depends on the pen model and collection.

The weight depends on the material and size you choose. Aluminum and titanium are typically lighter options, while stainless steel, brass, and copper provide a heavier, more solid feel.

For example, the Aluminum EDC Bolt Action Pen V4 weighs approximately 19 grams. Check the specifications on each product page when weight is an important factor in your decision.

Refill compatibility depends on the pen’s size and model.

For example, some regular-size models include a Pilot G2 refill and may also accept Pilot V5, Uni-ball 207 Gel, and EnerGel refills. Parker-size versions can accept Parker QuinkFlow and Fisher Space Pen refills with the corresponding kit included. EnerGel versions are designed for EnerGel refills.

Check the description of your specific pen before purchasing replacement ink, as refill compatibility varies by model.

Customization options vary by product. Some models allow you to choose features such as:

Clean the exterior with a soft, clean cloth, and keep dust, moisture, and abrasive materials away from the lock mechanism’s travel path and threaded areas.

Avoid harsh chemicals unless they are suitable for the specific metal and finish. Brass and copper polishes can remove the natural patina, so you should only use them if you want to restore a shinier appearance.

Do not force the locking mechanism or overtighten the threaded parts. Contact us if the mechanism becomes unusually stiff or if any component appears to be damaged.

No. Although bolt-action pens are popular within the everyday carry community, they can also be used for work, journaling, note-taking, drawing, keeping on your desk, and everyday writing.

Their sturdy construction and refillable design make them a durable alternative to disposable pens.

Orders typically take 24 to 72 hours to process after purchase, excluding weekends. Processing may take longer during holidays, for customized orders, when changes are requested, or when a product has limited availability.

Shipping time begins after the order has been processed and handed over to the carrier.

We do not currently offer next-day shipping. The available shipping methods will be displayed during the checkout process.

International shipping may be available for certain destinations. Delivery times may be significantly longer than for domestic shipments, and tracking may be limited once the package is transferred to the local postal service in the destination country.

Available destinations and shipping services must be confirmed during the checkout process. Depending on the destination, import duties, taxes, or customs fees may apply.

Our current policy states that customers must contact us within 30 business days of the shipping date for a reshipment to be considered.

Yes. Customers must contact Honey Badger Arsenal within 14 days of the delivery date indicated in the tracking information to request a return, exchange, replacement, or to report a missing item.

Eligible items must not have been misused or used for a purpose other than intended. The cost of return shipping must be paid by the buyer, and original shipping costs are non-refundable.
